Dedicated to the Field of VHH Discovery

Leveraging our VHH discovery experience with recent advancements in bioinformatics and  machine learning to provide a reliable and industry leading VHH discovery technology to support the development of next generation therapeutics

Travis LeGuyader

Co-Founder

Travis has worked for the industry’s leading VHH discovery partners where he gained experienced with In Vitro, In Vivo and computational approaches to VHH discovery. Over the last 5 years, he has helped design, contract, and oversee execution of over 170 different discovery programs for groups around the world. He has always been passionate about VHH discovery and their therapeutic applications and helped design and implement one of the first B cell screening VHH discovery offerings in 2020.

Travis is getting married this September to his fiancée Kaycee and loves to spearfish, ski, and BBQ with his family in his free time.

Carolyn M. Boudreau, PhD

Scientific Co-Founder

Carolyn is a virologist and immunologist with experience in drug discovery, antibody engineering, and the antibody response to natural infection and vaccination. She completed her PhD in the laboratory of Dr. Galit Alter at the Ragon Institute of MGH, MIT, and Harvard. She has led teams to successful development of drug discovery and post-immunization analysis platforms, and has worked extensively in industry-industry and industry-academic collaborations.
When not in the lab, Carolyn can be found playing violin in multiple Greater Boston community orchestras, reading on the beach, and trying new restaurants and recipes with her husband.

Dedicated to Fostering Exceptional Scientific Partnerships

The bar for VHHs being used in next generation therapeutics is constantly rising and traditional platforms can often fall short on delivering on key performance parameters. At times, inadequate collaboration can be as much of a limit to success as  the choice in platforms itself.

We founded Abkyu to address both the technical and collaborative challenges limiting the field the VHH discovery process. We know how to enable productive collaborations  because we’ve been in your shoes. This experience drives our commitment to building genuine partnerships based on transparency, communication, and shared goals.
At Abkyu, we are not just a service provider; we are your partner in innovation. Together, we can navigate the complexities of VHH discovery and unlock new possibilities in medicine.
